(LIST) 25 Gay Sex Scenes from Modern Movies. (9-5)!

25 Great Gay Movie Sex Scenes

As a followup to called Gay Sex Scenes that Made Movie History. A delightfully naughty exploration of firsts and foresk- ... er, foremosts in terms of gay male intimacy on the silver screen, it celebrated some of the films that blew the celluloid closet to bits, one modesty sock at a time. AfterElton has the Full List of Gay Sex Scenes from Modern Movies.

9. Weekend (2011)

Weekend tells the story of a one-night stand that overstays its welcome in the best possible way. The sex scenes are naturalistic, raw, and charged with emotion - which no doubt contributes to the film's popularity.

8. Private Romeo (2011)

A sweet retelling of Romeo and Juliet in a military academy, Private Romeo's love scene may be chaste by comparison to some of the other entries on this list, but it is undeniably sweet - especially since we're talking about a re-envisioning of one of the most classic love stories ever told in one of the last frontiers for openly gay men and women.

7. Love Songs (2007)

Love Songs is unique for several reasons. One, while its lead character begins the film dating a woman, he unexpectedly switches teams midway through the film. Another, the lovers burst into song at key moments throughout the story, as in the steamy scene where the two men get down to business.

6. Shame (2011)

Michael Fassbender's much-hyped full-frontal nudity may have been the highlight of this morose meditation on sex addiction, but it's also notable for a scene in which Fassbender's character, having hit rock bottom, visits a gay sex club for some oral gratification. The scene is brief and a bit of a footnote, but it's notable that the story opted to go that route at all.

5. BrĂ¼no (2009)

Love it or hate it, Sacha Baron Cohen and Larry Charles' follow-up to their massive breakout hit Borat is as daring as mainstream comedy gets. At its best, the film used satire to expose the ridiculousness behind fear of gay intimacy and gay people. At its worst, it was just blisterlingly funny in all the wrong ways. Case in point: the title character's insanely over-the-top hotel room romp with Diesel, which involved a fire extinguisher, a giant slingshot, a hand-vacuum, and the most inspired champagne bottle cozy in film history. Here it is, in its ridiculous, fake-censored but still probably very NSFW glory:
