(OUTscene NW) RE-view: Seattle Gays warmly welcome Kristen Chenoweth Back after 11 Years!

A mostly Gay audience welcomed Tony and Emmy winner, Kristin Chenoweth back to Seattle's Paramount Theater, this past Wednesday with a standing Ovation, as soon as she appeared on stage, and before she even spoke or sang a Note!

Chenoweth, was so overcome with emotion that when she said she has been trying to get back to Seattle for 9 years and she personally requested that the tour started in Seattle. She said on stage, "This is the greatest night of my life"! She Loves Seattle!

It had been 11 years ago since Kristin had graced the Paramount stage as a guest artist for the Seattle Men's Chorus in June 2001.

In 2004, Chenoweth appeared in 'Wicked' and we met up in New York and it was wonderful experience and she truly wanted to come back to Seattle.

Flash Forward to 2012, the Tour is happening at a great time as her new country album is released and her new show, GCB is a Huge Hit!

Chenoweth opened and then Buried the "Taylor the latte boy" song. after she sang the love letter to Starbucks, she kissed the sheet music and put it is coffin like box and threw it to a eager audience member.

Joining Kristin were 2 Hot chorus boys (Tyler Hanes and Will Taylor), and one female, Chelsea Packard (who was in PROMISES, PROMISES with her) as her back up and duet partners.

Hanes and Taylor first appeared as Dancing Gay Cowboys in Black Tight Jeans. 

One thing I love about Kristin is her range, she could go from Camp to Opera to Broadway (Popular) to Pop (Enough is Enough) to Country (WWDD) to Gospel back to Broadway, etc.

One of Best moments was when she attempted to sing, Les Miz's "Bring him Home", never attempted to be performed by a woman. She mastered the song to perfection.

The audience roared during, "I'm Tired" from Blazing Saddles and we learned that Madeline Kahn was one of her Idols (She named her dog and her charity, Maddie's Corner, after the late Legend) and her other idol was Dolly Parton and her even spoked her during a Pre-taped 2-part conversation during WWDD (What Would Dolly Do?) and later during her first of many Encores (I will always Love You).

Chenoweth's Final Encore was a request and a Love Letter to her Seattle Gay fans with a song she performed during that Iconic 2001 concert with "the Girl in 14-G".

After that incredible performance and the reaction she received, I would think she will be back soon.
