Maybe Lindsay Lohan getting close to $1 million to pose in Playboy will turn out to be a good deal for both parties. Hugh Hefner claims, rather tepidly on Twitter, that the Lohan issue is going wild, reports CNN.
"The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales
records," Hefner tweeted yesterday. Still, CNN called a dozen newsstands
around the United States and only one said it was sold out of the
issue, which hit shelves on Friday, with more more copies to arrive
today.
Perhaps the tweet was a reaction to this Fox News story,
which reported that interest seemed low: Its own review of newsstands,
on Friday, found plenty copies of the Lohan issue. “No one has bought
it,” was what Fox was told over and over, it reports. Of course, TMZ counters that Playboy's online subscriptions are up, and that the mag is, indeed, selling out. Stay tuned.
