CULTURE: Jesse Ventura Sues Over Body Scans!

Jesse Ventura doesn’t want the TSA getting too intimate with “the Body.” The wrestler-turned-governor-turned-conspiracy-peddler has filed a lawsuit complaining that the full-body scanners and pat-downs passengers are subjected to at airports constitute unreasonable search and seizure, the AP reports. The searches are “warrantless and suspicionless,” the lawsuit says, and constitute “intrusions on Governor Ventura’s personal privacy and dignity.”

Ventura, the lawsuit explains, had a titanium hip replacement in 2008, and it invariably sets off airport metal detectors. In the past, this led to a non-invasive hand-held wand search. Now, thanks to the TSA’s more aggressive pat-down rules, he knows every time he flies he’ll be “exposed to humiliation and degradation through unwanted touching, gripping, and rubbing of the intimate areas of his body.”
