Designer Marc Jacobs has split with Lorenzo Martone, who he reportedly married in St. Barts just after New Year's. “They've both been telling people that they broke up,” friends tell the New York Post, adding that Martone plans to leave the couple’s Chelsea Merchantile apartment soon (he denied rumors that he moved out earlier this month). Tellingly, Jacobs didn’t bring Martone along when serving as best man in a wedding last week.
Gawker notes, however, that an earlier report in the Boston Herald places Martone at last week's wedding, as Jacobs' guest—so perhaps the rumors of their break-up will be just as convoluted as the rumors of their engagement and marriage.
