(OUTscene NW) INTER-view: Raja brings her Moja Back to Seattle for Battle of the Seasons Tour!

Rupaul's Drag Race Tour is back in Seattle next week and we get to chat with a few of the stars. One of my Favorites is Raja (aka..Sutan Amrull) who won Season 3 and is the oldest and first Asian winner. I met Raja in Seattle at an Event in 2011. I emailed Raja some questions about the Tour and what he thinks of some of other Queens. 


MK: Welcome Back to Seattle!  What do you like most about Seattle?

Raja: I love seattle's landscape and climate. It's greenery it's fascinating history, the breathtaking view of Mt Ranier...all magical.

MK. So you are part the Rupaul's Drag race 'Battle of the Seasons' Tour, what do you queens have in store for the audience?

Raja: We have a motley Crüe of characters, a melange of styles, all eclectic and brilliant in its own way...a flea circus.

MK: Compared to Last year, will the tour be more Competive?

Raja: I wasn't at the last tour but I'm sure it's so much better with me in it?

MK: Will there be anymore Drag U seasons?

Raja: No ma'am Pam! That was a terrible show! But so much fun to shoot with all of my sorority sisters.

MK: You know, Jinkx Monsoon, is our Hometown hero, what was your impression of her?

Raja: I think she's got a screw loose which makes her one of my best friends.

MK: In ONE word, what is your impression of ...

Manila Luzon?

Raja: Loud!

MK: Ivy Winnnnnnttttterrrssss?

Raja: Hot!

MK: Courtney Act?

Raja: Sexy!

MK: Bianca Del Rio? 

Raja: Loud!

MK: Alaska 5000???

Raja: Genius!

MK: And Sharon Needles???

Raja: Who?

MK: I know your orignal gig was as Adam Lambert's Make up artist, do you still work with him?

Raja: I don't have time to do a lot of make up work, my focus has been mostly on drag and perpetuating my own art. Adam and I spend as much time together as friends and we try to be with each other as frequently as possible to connect and recharge.

MK: And finally Tell us about you next Project?

Raja: I'm working on some new music to satiate and titilate my late fans. My fine art and painting has suddenly become a new fire under me.
