(OUTview TV) FROM 2009 PODCAST: MK's Exclusive with Eric Alva and Nathaniel Frank on DADT Repeal!!
This Past week was the 1 year anniversary of the official ending of Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell, so this week I wanted to focus on one of OUTview's crowning achievements with an EXCLUSIVE discussion on DADT from way back in 2009. This was my 3rd Podcast for Q-Radio but it truly launched the OURview Series.
Portland's own, Marc Abrams of KXL radio joined Me with Staff Sergeant Eric Alva, who while in command of a Marine supply unit, became the first US Military service member injured in the Iraq Occupation.
Also Alva had the honor of standing next to Obama as he signed the appeal into Law in December 2010.
Also on the program is Nathaniel Frank, author of 'Unfriendly Fire'. Actually a week after the interview was recorded, Frank was featured on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
Some have said that Frank's Book was the blueprint that helped with the Repeal.
