About the size of a roller rink and with speakers lacing the ceiling the whole way back, the almost-finished Q Nightclub
looks to be a massive addition to Seattle's music life at night. The
club/lounge opens Sept. 8 with DJs Quentin Harris and Little Rock.
Erykah Badu will do a solo deejay set there after her set at the Paramount for Decibel Festival,
Sept. 28 at 2 a.m.
Seattle's DJ Nark will be a fixture but more local
selectors are encouraged to apply (info@qcapitolhill.com). For deejays,
it's a big room. For everyone else, it's a place to dance until six or
seven in the morning. My snap impression is it inspires some of the same
techy/warm/hangaresque feelings of being in the Central Library
downtown. MORE!
