'll admit it: I've definitely used the term "gay best friend" on more
than one occasion. It's cute, fun and silly - but it can also make gay
people sound like the hottest new accessory or designer handbag. I don't
want to be anyone's gay best friend anymore than I want to be their
male best friend or white best friend or short best friend; I just want
to be their best friend. Period.
