His laugh is infectiously identifiable from across a crowded bar. Her legs look killer in a pencil skirt walking across a stage. And they are the same person.

Whether you know her as Mark the bartender or him as the delicious drag performer Lorayne Love, the man born Mark James Freeman has become a mainstay in West Hollywood.

A Fiesta Cantina bartender for six years and a drag performer in West Hollywood for almost a decade, Freeman has most certainly made his mark on the city.

But on a day in early April, as he moves in to a new apartment with his longtime boyfriend, Freeman takes time to reflect on how he became the man - and occasionally the woman - he is today.
