Facebook apologizes for censoring gay kiss photo!

Facebook administrators removed a photo of a gay kiss for allegedly violating the terms of use.

After users protested, Facebook reinstated the page and issued a statement of apology, the Huffington Post said.

The terms of use state that, “You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.”

The photo in question was posted to protest a London pub that had kicked out a gay couple for kissing on the premises. Even though the landlady of the establishment deemed the act to be “obscene,” the photo did not violate the terms of use.

“The photo in question does not violate our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and was removed in error,” the apology read.
