Kristin Chenoweth we have loved for awhile now from Wicked, Pushing Daisies and all the other wonderful things she has done. Sean Hays we’ve been a little slower to warm to.
The show also stars, Broadway 'Diva', Brooks Ashmanskas, who has always been OUT. He was the only one OUT when we attended the Same High school in Oregon.
Though he was brilliant as Jack on Will & Grace, his refusal to come out publicly created a distance from some fans. But now that he is out publicly, I think he will be embraced all the more as will other recently out stars Ricky Martin and Michael Urie.
Sean and Kristin opened last week in the new Broadway revival of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s musical Promises, Promises playing at the Broadway Theatre. It features a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and a book by Neil Simon. It is based on the 1960 Academy Award-winning Billy Wilder film The Apartment.
