Billed as the St. Patrick’s Peace Parade, a brand new event will follow the traditional one through South Boston this St. Patty’s Day -- and allow LGBT groups to join in marching.
Antiwar group Veterans for Peace is organizing the second celebration, which is required to remain one mile behind the first.
It’s been 16 years since the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council went to the US Supreme Court to win the right to block LGBT groups from marching in the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Reports Bay Windows.
