It was too close to call until late yesterday, but former standout NBA shot blocker Chris Dudley couldn't block Democrat John Kitzhaber from winning a historic third term as Oregon governor. Kitzhaber, whose last term ended 7 years ago, will replace Gov. Ted Kulongoski, AP reports. The Democratic governor is leaving office after the two consecutive terms allowed by state law.
Democratic Sen. Wyden Re-elected In Oregon, the Democrats held on to a U.S. Senate seat in Oregon Tuesday as Sen. Ron Wyden scored a convincing win over Republican rookie Jim Huffman. NBC called the race in favor of Wyden, who had 59 percent of the vote to Huffman’s 38 percent.Openly Gay Libertarian candidate, Marc Delphine (pictured) came in at an impressive 3rd over the Green Party candidate.
Democratic incumbent Patty Murray and Republican challenger Dino Rossi headed into a third day of vote tallies Thursday with no clear winner in Washington state's U.S. Senate race.
Democratic incumbent U.S. representative Rick Larsen has taken the lead in the race for the 2nd Congressional District, and is ahead of republican John Koster by a little more than 500 votes now.
Joe Fitzgibbon (a 23 yr old Hottie) is the apparent winner over Michael Heavey for WA State Representative Position No. 2 in the 34th District.
