CULTURE: The Palins put Levi on a Leash!

As he makes amends with babymama Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston is also trying to rebuild bridges to mom Sarah: "Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry," Johnston told People. "Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true." Johnston said he has "already apologized to Todd and Sarah" for his "youthful indiscretion," and hopes to someday restore their trust.

Bristol chimed in with her own statement on "co-parenting" with Levi. Their son, Tripp, "one day needs to know the truth and needs to know that even if a mistake is made the honorable thing to do is to own up to it," she said. Levi didn't go into specifics on what lies he told. He had previously claimed that Sarah Palin complained about her job as governor and that there was "talk" of a pending Palin divorce. Sarah in turn blasted the "malicious" digs and slammed Levi for posing for Playgirl. Sources say Levi and Bristol are on such friendly terms these days that Levi is spending nights at the Palin home.
