Over the last week, states have been winning the freedom to marry at such a fast pace that it's hard to keep up. AFER has conclusively won its marriage case. Cases in four other states have ended in victory. The Ninth Circuit has expanded marriage in several more states. It's been a pretty terrible week for the National Organization for Marriage. But a pretty great one for freedom, liberty, and equality.

(MNW) Louisiana Judge's Marriage Ruling is Full of Mistakes!
A massive victory for equality in Wisconsin and Indiana, with one of the most strongly-worded decisions yet. A judge in Louisiana has ruled against marriage equality, but there are some problems with his ruling. There are major oral arguments this week in multiple states, and more cases move closer to consideration by the US Supreme Court.

(MNW) NOM's Losing Streak Continues!
Anti-gay attorneys took a beating before the Seventh Circuit last week, trying and failing to defend marriage bans before a panel of hostile judges. Now all eyes are on the Supreme Court to see which cases they'll take up in their fall session. There's another major marriage argument coming up in a few days. And the National Organization for Marriage still isn't giving up in Oregon, despite having lost months ago.

Another week, and another win for marriage equality. This time, it's Florida. But the freedom to marry is in jeopardy in Colorado. Meanwhile an appeals court has set a date for oral argument in two states, but then said never mind. And the Department of Justice has indicated its plans for addressing the freedom to marry before the Supreme Court.

(MNW) Marriage Cases Are Speeding Up!
This week I'm in Pennsylvania, which gained the freedom to marry just a few months ago. We have big victories this week in Kentucky, and a ton of hearings coming up from one side of the country to the other. There's a battle of wills and a surprise move in Colorado. And one of the Prop 8 lawyers is headed back to court -- this time, as a judge.

(MNW) Marriage Wins in Western States!
This week I'm in Washington DC, where in one year we're all but guaranteed to have a ruling on the freedom to marry. We also have major milestones to report this week in Utah and Indiana.
