PUDNIT: Should Newt Return Freddie Mac Money?
Mitt
Romney appears to have no plans to stop attacking new frontrunner Newt
Gingrich. Asked on Fox News today whether he thinks Gingrich should
return the $1.6 million he got from Freddie Mac,
Romney said, "I sure do." He continued, "He says he was in the
consulting business. He was in the business of connecting folks with
government."
As such,
he's part of the same Washington culture that Americans are sick of.
"People go there to serve the people, and then they stay there to serve
themselves," Romney said. One last dig: Since Gingrich originally said
he was serving as a historian for Freddie Mac, Romney noted, "That’d
make him the highest-paid historian in history," Politico reports.
