Actress Patricia Modell, who was married to former Cleveland Browns/Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell, died Wednesday, the Ravens organization announced. She was 80.
Modell, also known as Patricia Breslin, started acting on television in 1949 when she played roles in THE PHILCO-GOODYEAR TELEVISION PLAYHOUSE.
She appeared in the TV series THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE opposite Jackie Cooper and played Laura Brooks in the primetime soap opera PEYTON PLACE.
Her last television role was as Nurse Meg Bentley Baldwin in GENERAL HOSPITAL in the late 1960s.
Meg was a widow she came to Port Charles with her young son Scotty Bentley (later Scott Baldwin) and teenage stepdaughter Brooke.
She became engaged to Noel but it was Lee Baldwin that she loved. They eventually married. The rest of her life was pretty tortured as she suffered from breast cancer, had a mental breakdown and eventually died having a stroke.
