Oregon Lesbian Mom Speaks out about the Ordeal & Win in Artificial Insemination Case!

Receiving the good news that a Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Tennyson had issued a ruling in her appeal case finding her to be a legal parent,Sondra Sineovich will now be pursuing her right to a fair share of custody of both children together with her ex-partner, Sarah Kemp.

It was found that the couple had indeed asserted a mutual intent when the artificial insemination of her former partner, Sarah Kemp, took place, resulting in the pregnancies and birth of two children. “Parker was already born at the time Ms. Kemp left the relationship, for another woman, and was pregnant with our second child” Ms. Shineovich informed LezGetReal’s Melanie Nathan Wednesday. Ms. Kemp had prevented Ms. Shineovich from seeing the second child Ally for three years, until six months ago when the Judge ordered supervised visitation.
” I am pleased the Court found that it would not discriminate based on gender or sexual orientation, “ asserts Ms. Shineovich.

“I only see our daughter for a half hour per week, while Sarah stands right there. It has been very difficult.” Sondra informs. ” I will be much happier when we can all have more time together.”
