At the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, 85 countries joined a Joint Statement entitled “Ending Acts of Violence and Related Human Rights Violations Based On Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.” The United States co-chaired the core group of countries that have worked to submit this statement, along with Colombia and Slovenia.
