BUSINESS: Steve Jobs Himself Introduces New iPad!

AP) – Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who has been on indefinite medical leave, unveiled the second generation of the iPad himself in San Francisco today. Jobs walked on stage to a standing ovation, wearing his signature black mock turtleneck, blue jeans, and wire-rimmed glasses. "We've been working on this product for a while and I just didn't want to miss today," he said. Apple stock shot up with his surprise appearance.

The new device will start at $499, same as the original, and be available with both Verizon and AT&T. It's thinner than the original and has two cameras for taking photos and video chatting, along with a faster processor. "The new iPad 2 is actually thinner than your iPhone 4," Jobs said. It will be available March 11 in the US, then March 25 in at least 26 other countries.
