Russell Dickerson III says he suffered six years of bullying and harassment at the hands of other students when he attended middle school and high school in the Aberdeen School District. With the assistance of the Washington State ACLU, the 19-year-old has filed a lawsuit for damages. The lawsuit alleges that Dickerson suffered from racial and sexual harassment by his peers with the school district doing little or nothing to put a stop to it, even after a judge issued a no contact order between Dickerson and one of his harassers. He says he was spit on, called a "faggot", pinched and inappropriately touched, pushed, harassed due to his race and perceived sexual orientation and was even threatened with lynching. In 2007 students put up a website to make fun of him and mock him.
