Millions of camp fans are twitching in glee because the release date for the new Cher/Christina Aguilera musical film "Burlesque" draws nearer and nearer. It opens nationally in theaters on November 24 and to get the hordes of Cher/Christina fans in a frenzy, Lobby Bar and Screen Gems are hosting a big "Burlesque" pre-film reception next Thursday, November 11 from 8pm to 10pm. There will be ticket giveaways to a screening of the film, (which happens BEFORE the official opening, on the following Thursday, November 18) and Glamazonia and Lily Armani will be hosting and performing as Cher and Christina. Lobby is going to be PACKED with people wanting those passes...it will be MADNESS!
And, what do you think? Is this movie going to be marvelous, or a trainwreck, or some sort of divine marvelous trainwreck, ala "Showgirls"?
I'm hoping for Option C....there's nothing like a trainwreck to ensure cinematic immortality!
Oh, here's Ms Aguilera singing the first single "Express" from the soundtrack on the annoying Ryan Secrest show:
