After Months of teasing each other, and verbal fights, RUKE went one step further!
The build up to the kiss is very fun. Reid is a nervous wreck waiting to see if his license to practice medicine will be revoked and he and Luke are hanging out in a Texas hotel with nothing to do. Luke suggests they go out but Reid has no idea where to go since he never went out when he lived in Texas.
Luke: “No friends, no fun, no life. you Dr. Oliver are a sad, sad man. How can you live in a place for years without stumble upon one cool place or one good restaurant?”
Reid: “Not everyone has a loaded bank account and tons of free time. I was a little busy actually fixing people’s brains.”
Luke insists they go out and finds a bar with bucking mechanical bull. Doc Reid is ordering drinks, turns around, and naughty Luke is on the bull ready to take it for a ride!
Reid is clearly turned on by this and Luke tries to get him to try it himself. The medical jargon Reid uses to explain the various hand injuries that are possible from this is hilarious – great dialogue so well-delivered.
Reid ends up doing a sexy ride on the bull and as he is on it, his phone rings with news. They rush back to the hotel and he nervously returns the call.
It’s good news! He’s able to practice again. He hangs up the phone and plants a big kiss on Luke’s mouth. Luke is shocked but not unhappy. Reid is ready to dash out the door when Luke says he understands he kissed him because he was so happy but they shouldn’t pretend like the kiss didn’t happen.
