Amid all the uproar over how Sarah Palin's contract with a Cal State school was acquired (theft? harmless dumpster diving?), let's not lose sight of the real question: Is she a bigger diva than Mariah Carey...or JLo, Barbra Streisand, and other celebs with big demands? The Week investigates.
Mariah Carey: Wanted tea service for eight, the bags steeped in Poland Spring water only, trumping Palin's request for two measly bottles of (unopened) water.
Jennifer Lopez: Required that her dressing room be 100% white, from the flowers to the drapes to the couches—a more divalicious demand than Palin's request for a one-bedroom suite.
Barbra Streisand: Asked for 72 "large bath-sized towels"; Palin will apparently make do with whatever is in the aforementioned suite.
Jay-Z: Wanted to be chauffeured around in a "late model Black Mayback 57 or 62 with tinted windows," a taller order than Palin's request for an SUV or black Town Car.
