VEGAS or (Beer) BUST: Boozing Harry heading to Vegas!
Prince Harry is about to show off his legendary partying skills in the party capital of the world—Las Vegas. The royal boozer, who tumbled into a pool last week while dancing at one of his recent bashes, is heading to California and Arizona for 12 weeks of helicopter training. But he'll take a couple of days off for some Sin City R&R, sources tell the London Mirror.
Vegas "is a chance for pilots to let their hair down, kick back, and enjoy themselves," said the source. Partying isn't all Harry's good at, apparently. He's considered a talented pilot, even if he does struggle a bit with math calculations required for his trips. "We wouldn't risk our equipment, the safety of Harry, his co-pilot, or the team around them if we didn't think he was the best man for the job," an official tells the Daily Mail.

EMBARRASSMENT: Was This Year's Daytime EMMYS the worst Ever? Hell Yeah!
by Mike Webber
Soap Q
I have never been to the Daytime Emmys, and I don't see it ever a possibility ever again. The EMMYS was last night, (I Think). After Years of being in Mid May on a Friday with a preceding Prime Time Episode of Y&R or DAYS was the hey day of the 90's. Back in the 70's and 80's the genre stayed in the Daytime and saluted Daytime. Soaps, Talk shows, Games shows and Children's programming. The Only cheesy thing about it was the Soap stars performed an opening number. But was always True class and dignity. Soaps used to the Broadway of Television, but it has been pushed aside as Joke.
For the second year in the row, The Emmys were held in June when no one was watching TV. Last year on Pride Day and this years on Father's Day.
From the silly opening number with Vegas acts and Wayne Brady, who's Game show (Let's make a Deal) killed GL and replaced it. This show or Brady were not even nominated. They passed out a few awards that no one knew because they showed no clips. Created an award for Oprah who Tape a speech a month ago (When she still had a set). Focused on Elvis, Celene, Elton, Donnie and Marie (At least they have worked in Daytime, 10 years ago!), Penn and Teller Once appeared on OLTL 20 years ago) Anderson attended. Barbara Did Not, (More time on PSAs and Informercials of Vegas.) BORING to fans of Daytime.
Read More from a Review in LA Times.
Before I forget, Bold and Beautiful (a show that now one cares about) wins for Best Show. The Bland and Boring, Brittany Allen (AMC) over Powerhouse Actresses (If they showed the clips even the audience would see the comparison).

APPROVED: Trans Anti-Discrimination Bills Win Final from Nevada Legislature
The Nevada Assembly gave final approval today to two transgender anti-discrimination bills and sent them to the governor, the AP reports:
The Assembly on Monday passed a bill adding transgender people to the list of groups protected from discrimination in housing or rental agreements.
Lawmakers also passed a measure prohibiting discrimination against transgender people in public places such as restaurants. The bill makes an exception so bars can host gender-based promotions such as Ladies Night.
The bills join a separate bill protecting transgender Nevadans from discrimination in employment which reached Governor Brian Sandoval's desk last week.

TRANS APPROVED: Nevada Passes Trans Anti-Discrimination Bill!
HRC Backstory reports: Yesterday, members of the Nevada State Assembly took a final vote on AB 211, a bill codifying prohibitions against discrimination in employment on the basis of gender identity or expression. The bill had already passed the Assembly but required a vote to agree to minor amendments made in the State Senate. The bill now moves to the desk of Governor Brian Sandoval for his consideration.
If signed into law, Nevada would become the 14th U.S. state, along with the District of Columbia, to provide protections based on gender identity or expression.

GOODBYE: John Ensign Gives Farewell Speech—to Empty Room!
John Ensign took the Senate floor one last time Monday and delivered a contrite farewell speech—to a whole lot of empty chairs. Not one of Ensign's senate colleagues showed up to hear the address; Democrat Chris Coons sat in the presiding officer's chair, but opened a folder and started writing about other matters as soon as Ensign started talking, according to the AP. None of his family or friends were there, either, save five staffers lining a bench. One was seen wiping away a tear.
"I was blind to how arrogant and self-centered that I had become. I did not recognize that I thought mostly of myself," a contrite Ensign told the room. He advised his absent colleagues to surround themselves "with people who will be honest with you about how you really are," lest they suffer the same fate.

VEGAS APPROVED: Nevada Senate approves two LGBT protections bills, rejects a third
The Nevada Senate this week approved two bills that would prohibit discrimination against gays and transgender individuals in housing and public accommodations, but rejected a third bill that would have added gender identity and expression to Nevada’s hate crimes law.
Sen. David Parks (D-Las Vegas), sponsor of all three measures, said he wasn’t surprised the 10-11 vote went against the hate crimes bill, reported the Nevada Appeal.
Parks said the law already includes race, color, religion, national origin, disability and sexual orientation in the definition of hate crimes.
“Protecting our transgender citizens harms no one,” he said.
The other two measures, however, were approved: SB331 prohibits discrimination against gays and transsexuals in places of public accommodation including hotels, motels and restaurants, and SB368 prohibits discrimination in housing and other real property transactions.

Las Vegas Hotel Bans Trans Woman for Life, then issues 'Apology and Lifts Ban' for Using Bathroom
A transgender woman was reportedly "banned for life" from the TAG approved Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas after going there for a drink and using the women's bathroom.
HotelChatter reports:
Here’s what happened. Stephanie goes to the Cosmo in the early hours of the morning – about 2.30am. She sits down at the Vesper Bar, in the lobby of the hotel, and orders drinks. Her drinks are good, the barman is pleasant, all is well. And then, at 4am, she realizes she needs the bathroom.
She goes, as is her wont, to the women’s restroom, just across from the bar. It’s empty, as you’d expect at 4am on a Monday. Not a single person in there. She powders her nose and exits the restroom, only to be met by two security guards who immediately say “Come with us” and start marching her out of the hotel. As they walk her, they demand to see her ID (to establish her legal gender). It’s in her purse, and she fumbles for it as she’s being forcibly marched through the lobby of the hotel. As she fumbles, one of the men tells her to hurry up. She is scared, and starts apologizing, saying she’s not trying to cause trouble, but it’s hard to walk and look for her ID at the same time.
They march her outside the hotel (the bathroom is near the main entrance) and she finds her ID. One of the guards checks it, establishes that her legal gender is male, and pulls out a yellow form from his pocket and starts writing in her details to the blank spaces. As he does so, he says, “Are you working?” Way to add insult to injury. She doesn’t say “Well as it happens, yes I am working, at the conference, douchebag.” She says no.
