(OUTscene AMERICA) Introducing the Man Dress!

Jwanderson
It Brit design JW Anderson's latest collection is all about gender-bending.

Writes Daniel Tehrani at OUT:The inspiration for his collection, titled Mathematics of Love, was the "examination of bourgeois kinkyness and boudoir perversity" -- the result, men in strapless camel bustiers, frilled bloomer-shorts, doctors' gowns complete with what looks like dishwashing gloves, a powder blue robe and kinky leather pleated dresses. Wearable? Not quite. Commercial? Definitely not, but it is certainly conceptual......Style.Com writer Jo Ann-Furniss says "write off Anderson as a mere provocateur at your peril; his agenda is more complex than that. The effeminacy of this collection—a kind of put-together sixties jolie madame made into a twisted jolie monsieur; think Séverine in Belle de Jour crossed with some of her kinky fantasy coachmen—is intended to reconfigure both menswear and womenswear, and to give a kick up the arse to the stale state of much of men's fashion at the moment."

In fact, Anderson is a part of a bigger movement to bring originality into the men's dress-code.

(OUTscene NW) Coverage of Bellevue Collection’s Front Row Fashion Show!

by Eddie Walker

On September 29, 2012, I had the pleasure of attending the Bellevue Collection’s Front Row Fashion Show sponsored by Vogue, and benefitting the Moyer Foundation.  And let me tell you, with the tiered seating, you could not find a bad seat in the house.  The lighting, the music, the models, the fashions, it was all fabulous. Well, not all of it, but I’ll get to that in a minute. The show was hosted by Anne Vincent of Vogue and Style Icon, Lawrence Zarian.

(LUST) Why Is Calvin Stalking Gruber?

Former Calvin Klein boytoy Nick Gruber says that Klein has hired a private investigator to follow him around: GruberFor the last month, Gruber says he and his boyfriend, John Luciano, have been tracked by a cop-turned-gumshoe. Gruber tells Confidenti@l that he believes the investigator, a well-known P.I., was hired by Calvin Klein to watch his every move.
But the investigator isn’t sleuthing around incognito. On Monday, Gruber says the private eye got in a scuffle with Gruber and his friends at Toy’s Avenue A Soundcheck party in the Meatpacking District.
He also says the investigator approached the former porn star’s table and began shouting about how Luciano is connected to the mob and being followed by Federal agents. Gruber says the gumshoe showed up to his hotel yesterday morning as well.
Luciano said Klein probably misses Gruber. “I understand what it’s like to be broken-hearted, and I’m sure Calvin’s heartbroken,” he said. “Nick’s a great guy.”

He said that neither he nor Nick will take legal action against Klein or anyone hired to follow them. And: Especially if they're carrying cameras for a reality show.

(JUICY) Calvin Klein’s Ex-Boy Toy Nick Gruber To Write Tell-All!

Calvin Klein’s former beau Nick Gruber is apparently “writing” a tell-all book about their two-year relationship called What Came Between Me and My Calvin.

It’s not so much that Gruber, a porn actor turned muse, can read and write that’s the surprise—it’s that he took a line from an ad campaign that predates his birth by a good decade or so as the title. (Would he even recognize Brooke Shields in a lineup?)

Gruber, 22 and his May-December-of-next-year relationship with Klein, 69, was not without its hiccups: Gruber was arrested for drug possession and assault, and most recently seen courting Girls Gone Wild babe Chelsea Heath.
