(LIST) 18 Stars Who've Attempted to Trademark Catchphrases!

Ryan Lochte is trying to trademark his catchphrase, "Jeah!"—but he may have some problems, because TMZ reports that '90s rapper MC Eiht claims he's been using the word since 1988, and plans to send the Olympic swimmer a cease and desist letter. Maybe Lochte can get some advice from these 17 other celebrities, all of whom at least attempted to snag trademarks. From Celebuzz and The Frisky:

(LIST) 7 Celebrity Businesses That Totally Flopped!

You'd think that a celebrity endorsement would be a surefire way to get a business off the ground—but that's not always the case, as these seven celebrities and their epic business fails prove, the Huffington Post notes:
  • Natalie Portman: She tried to hawk vegan shoes in 2008, but for $200 a pop, they weren't very recession-friendly. Té Casan, the store that partnered with Portman, ended up going under less than a year after the shoes were launched.
  • J.Lo: Jennifer Lopez opened Latin eatery Madres in Pasadena, Calif. in 2002. The star-studded opening reflected the restaurant's pricey fare, with dishes running between $30 and $50. Despite the prices and negative reviews, Madres stayed open six years before closing its doors. No distinct reason was given for the closing. Lopez has also seen fashion ventures go under. Her JLO line ceased to be profitable and was closed in 2007, followed by the closure of clothing lines JustSweet and Sweetface. Still, Lopez has persevered through the failures, releasing a diverse, 51-look line for the department store Kohl's last year.
  •
  • Britney Spears: Soon after opening her New York restaurant Nyla, the eatery began to be plagued with complaints about bad food and poor service. Health code violations probably didn't help, nor did a drastic menu change; Spears eventually abandoned the project.

(LIST) 10 Jobs for the Celebrity-Obsessed!

If your goal in life is to work with George Clooney, but you have zero acting ability, consider these 10 career paths. Any one of them could eventually get you in the proximity of a celebrity, LiveScience notes:
  • Nanny: Someone has to take care of Brangelina's six kids.
  • Tutor: Someone also has to teach Brangelina's six kids.
  • Financial adviser: If you're better at math than you are at walking the red carpet, this may be the career for you. One has to assume Nicolas Cage is desperately in need of one.
  • Party planner: What, you think Gwyneth Paltrow arranges her fancy dinner parties all on her own?
  • Personal assistant: If your dream job involves making sure Britney Spears' bills get paid or running out to fetch Christina Aguilera's dry cleaning, this is the job for you.
